The yield bleeding continues into the new year, quota today @ 60,00 % @ 60,01 %, warranty funds now only 331.001 (we were at 400k only three weeks ago).

All the loans are issued in Estonia, our unemployment rates have climbed and our economy has been in recession for about 2 years. 2024 forecast is GDP -0.4% , noticable growth is expected to continue in 2025 (maybe slight growth in the 2nd half of 2024??).

My 2-cent-worth forecast: I think defaults will be higher for the next 3-6 months but not as high as they were in Oct / Nov / Dec 2023. The buyback reserve of OmaRaha should weather the storm, temporary lowering of the buyback percentage to 50% or a bit lower - although a pessimistic scenario - is not entirely impossible in my opinion.

Thank you for some insight @tonist. I agree a reduction of the buyback percentage may be possible; the warranty funds is shrinking strongly in the last weeks, and can't go on for very long at this pace.

I do it manually, but for some month I used your notes here in the forum. Hopefully the fund will stabilize in the next weeks.

Increases in the warranty funds are not unusual though, as some recovered proceeds from sold loans are channeled back into the funds from time to time by Omaraha. No further details about this are public, though.
